I started Vagabond Projects years ago in Ocean Beach San Diego. I was living in a van a 1991 "down by the beach" not the river. I had an idea to have my own company. It was eventually called the Wild Parrot Players  and we did four non-professional shows. The process of casting people was unique. I mostly cast out of the bars, basketball courts and sometimes people I met on the street. I directed the plays with a lot of help from my friends
